House Cleaning Tips To De-clutter Your Bathrooms

Bathrooms are the rooms of the house that usually end up disorganized and untidy. This is where makeup, medicines, hair accessories, and other items used for bathing are kept. When these items are in a shuffle, you can easily loose things. Go over your own bathroom and assess the things inside it, utilize a few simple tips and you will find more space and serenity offered by your bathroom.

First, take a good look at your medicine cabinet. Literally, it is usually for storing medicines but actually it is not a good idea to keep medicines in it, because most bathrooms became hot and humid during hot showers and bath. This makes it damaging for medicines especially those that require being stored at room temperature. Also remember the importance of the expiration date of the medicines even though you may have only used a small part of it, it is best to dispose medication on its expiration date. You should store medicines on a high shelf or cabinet with constant room temperature, and keep them out of children's reach.

Make up is also commonly found inside your bathroom. Normally most make up lasts for one and a half year to two years, with the exception of mascara which lasts for three months and liquid eyeliner for three to six months. Nail polish generally lasts for about a year. So if you are keeping some of these items for longer than their life expectancy, get rid of them. Also check the smell of any of these items, since most make up contains animal based ingredients. Mark the expiration date on the item and note when you purchased it, so you will be reminded when to dispose of them.

Items on your sink should always be in place including things used for teeth cleaning, facial washing and other important items that should be within your reach while in front of the bathroom mirror and sink. You should also organize your items for bathing in the shower and tub, for easier access to them.

Bathroom cleaning supplies should be kept in a hidden and separate place, to avoid confusion in using them for your personal purposes. A storage container for the bathroom is a useful item to purchase to help you organize and locate things easily in the bathroom.

The bathroom is an important part of the house that should be kept and maintained clean, because this is where our personal hygiene is carried out. Our health should always be considered in maintaining the cleanliness of the house, especially the bathroom, where we often times use our bare hands and body in contact with things inside it. Having a clean and organized bathroom will make it easier for you to go about your daily grooming activities. A useful tip is to clean as you go since the bathroom is usually a busy room and it doesn't take long for clutter to accumulate.
